I also see your advertising banner is on this forum. RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - Crawl Space Crawler - 09-07-2025 I have this posted on my website at Crawler vs Robot 1. Your duty as an inspector is to provide your client with the most detailed inspection report possible as a professional. Can you check moisture levels in supporting dimensional lumber if you believe you see areas of moisture with a robot crawler? No. Can you even verify it’s moisture to begin with? No. You think you see evidence of pest intrusion. Can you verify if it’s active and species of pest? No. The list goes on and on. 2. Even if you use your robot crawler and provide what evidence you believe is verifiable by video or image. A real inspector or tradesman will have to access where you didn’t and verify the defects and further findings which you couldn’t. It leaves you as an inspector wide open for other conditions you couldn’t verify and detail for your clients. 3. Price, really there is no comparison here. Your price for a crawl space creeper $435.00 + $45 for shipping across the USA at the most, depends on location. Your price for robot crawlers can range from $2300+ and the skies the limit. What about repairs for the robot crawler if something breaks? 4. Pest inspectors can and will not use a robot crawler. Plain and simple they cannot perform their job professionally. In conclusion there are so many reasons to do your due diligence for your clients. Would we all like to use a robot crawler and push our job off on the next inspector or tradesman? Some may say yes, I say no. Yes I’m an inspector and yes I sell quality crawl space crawlers. They’re built to last at a fraction of the cost of a robot crawler. Plus you can have the confidence you did your inspection to the best of your ability as a professional. hello RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - MarkBK - 09-07-2025 (09-07-2025, 12:29 PM)MarkBK Wrote: Seems the reviews for your crawler are good. RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - MarkBK - 09-07-2025 I see that's up right below Redding California. RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - pestmaster - 09-08-2025 I have one of your crawlers and I love it. Eases all the strain on my lower back and knees. I recommend it to any inspector tired of crawling on their belly. ![]() RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - MarkBK - 09-08-2025 Interesting and the crawler is way more affordable than a robot. RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - Admin - 09-10-2025 Looks like a good crawl space crawler. Fellow pest inspectors have been telling me home inspectors using robots are misidentifying callouts in the crawl space. Then they are counting on pest inspectors to relay the exact defects to them. Puts using robots into question??? RE: Termite Inspector Crawl Space Crawler - Lundgren - 09-10-2025 I'm considering getting a crawler, getting older and I'm tired of struggling in the crawl space. |
