Buying a home on slab - termites a concern
#1
Do many home buyers have a pest inspection when buying a home on a slab?
I'm in the process of buying a home and want to know if it's really needed.  Big Grin

A pest inspection is always recommended before buying a home regardless of a slab or raised foundation.
I've seen cracks in the concrete walks leading to the slab foundation wall allowing entry for termites.
Most home buyers get a pest and home inspection before buying.

Make sure this is part of your home inspection! This should be done at the sellers expense if possible!

That's the very first thing you need to do. In some states, this is the duty of real estate agents to provide you to the termite inspection report of selling property. In our location, Los Angeles, California, real estate agents provide the report as we provide the termite control services. So better to ask the agent to provide the report.
